This is a great set by Chains at Rebellion...with the high winds and rain, it made for great night! Sucks the next day got cancelled :( Solid IEM recording from Jerry Cantrell's feed...there is a cut in the IEM during Got Me Wrong and the intro to Stone...totally taper error... thought I had my 8gb card in the recorder, but it was the 4gb...after realizing it cut off, I quickly deleted the Limp Bizkit I recorded earlier in the day so I could get the rest of Chains....trust me, there is no loss there...only about 4 mins or so was missed.
The audience source is terrible...we were beside the soundboard but the wind made it virtually impossible to get good sound...thankfully it was there to make it a complete show...it does add some ambience to the IEM...I gave my buddy my mics and he was cool enough to stand there and pull the show for me...it was his first time ever, so kudos to I.C.E. If anyone has a better audience recording of this show, I would love to have it so I can remix it. We would like to give major thanks to all involved in making this happen....you all know who you are!

It's only in relatively recent years that I've warmed to Quadrophenia, and now I fully recognise it for the brilliant piece of work that it is.
I'd heard good things about this most recent take on the Quadrophenia show. Even so, it surpassed my expectations. Superb show, which the band came across as enjoying as much as the audience. First class production; very effective use of films and animation shown on screens above and behind the band.
Only one slightly uncomfortable moment of note. Pete was handed an out-of-tune guitar for Baba O'Riley. It lasted a short few bars before being tossed off the side of the stage towards the guitar tech area. Seconds later, a somewhat sheepish looking guitar tech came onto the stage with a replacement, not daring to raise his head to make eye contact with his Master...
Marvellous bit at the end where Pete pays homage to the comedy TV program "Father Ted" (or at least the character Father Jack Hackett). Terrific show, and one which I wish I'd bothered myself to see more than once.
