Show Notes:
Well, God was in town, and it *was* Sunday, so figured I'd check out all the fuss.
Imagine, if you will, chilling in Neil's basement. The stage was as fung shui as could be, with a nice little acoustic patch in the middle, and Neil was surrounded by *four* pianos. The show started with him on acoustic for 5 songs, then electric (Ohio), then he worked his way around the keys (some only used for one song), back to electric (Angry World), then back to the acoustics for the end of the show.
He was in fine spirits, with his dry, deadpan humor in full display.
Still trying to absorb it all.
This was taped from the gallery, but between the Alaskan hippy lettuce and my 'negotiating skills' (I promised all within 3 seats of me a copy of the raw file via link, and handed out some nugs), and other than the jackass who decided "Hey, Peaceful Valley Boulevard would be a GREAT time to open and eat a bag of chips...", I think the audience did a fine job in cooperating with the taper in their midst.
Probably one of the top 10 shows I've seen in my lifetime, with the history of the venue (with Neil) and Neil's humor itself being strong points..."Ohio" had the tears welling (but not falling), as it was just such power from one man on stage.
