This is the 12th time Brother Ruprecht has seen Plant solo (also saw with Zeppelin at the O2) and almost 35 years since he saw him for the first time at the Sheffield Arena in 1983 (Dec 1st) Plant is definitely less "serious" these days - bantering with the audience and taking the piss - which is good to see. He's clearly enjoying himself and doesn't really care what anyone else thinks.
Quite an intimate feeling to the show - and a great opener with Lemon Song.
Thoroughly enjoyed this gig - wish he'd played Rain Song (as he did in Syndey) but you can't have everything. That's the Way was good to hear.
New material stands up well - Carry Fire is one that will probably stay in the set list after this tour - really nice sound to that...
The upstairs section of the Palais is very high compared to the stage - as a result the lounge section (first 4 rows) are seated only - no standing.
The view is excellent from these seats and the sound pretty good as you are at the same level of the hanging stacks. Got good stereo separation for WIAWSNB
Good recording - however, towards the end they must have bumped the amps up a little as there is some digital clipping (Which I'm sure someone can fix) for the loud bits of Robert's Screams...
