note:
Here is again a gig of the earliest Cure available. A typical early Cure show, lots of energy and lots of interaction with the audience. It was raining during this show, Robert sings the first phrase of 'Singing in the rain' just before 'Meathook'. Also lots of songs are 'dedicated to...' according to Robert: 'Fire in Cairo' (to God), 'Do the Hansa' (to ???), 'It's not you' (to Simon), 'Meathook (to Porl). A great show, because of all the oldies they didn't play later anymore. As often during this early era, they play '10.15 saturday night' for a second time in the encore's. Again this is a speeded up and improvised version. Quality is very good for an old tape. Sometimes a bit too heavy on the bass, but very listenable.
